Linarite with Cerussite (ex Fred Kennedy Collection)

Item Description

A cool secondary ore specimen from this uncommon locale on the island of Sardinia. The mine actually dates back to the 1840s, and was permanently closed (and reclaimed) in the 1980s. I have seen a few of these pieces over the years, but they're not common by any means. Small "sprays" of electric blue Linarite can be seen sporadically scattered with associated Cerussite on the display side of this specimen. The piece comes with an old Excalibur-Cureton Company label, along with a label from the collection of Fred C. Kennedy of Rochester, Minnesota.
