Item Description

This locality is known for its unique pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite, but this INCREDIBLY sharp (for the locality) "floater" specimen features a NON-pseudomorphed crystal group of sharp white/beige pseudo-hexagonal Aragonite. The piece shows some interesting stepped prism faces, giving the piece a bit more depth. The BEST aspect of the piece to me is the sharp crystal faces, as they're often distorted and rounded when they get this size. Personally, I have seen only a handful of these un-pseudomorphed pieces from Corocoro, but this is one of the more interesting and eye-catching pieces that I have offered from the locality due to the fact that it is better quality than most I have seen from this area. They are also MUCH rarer than the pseudomorphs of Copper after Aragonite in my experience. This is a very fine example of this material, and really impressive for Corocoro. If you're a Bolivian collector, or an oddities collector, don't miss out on this one, because it's one of the few I have to offer.
