Item Description

Some of the largest and most displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This piece is a unique specimen, and one of the few green colored Wavellites I have seen from this prolific locality. Dozens of rather lustrous, sparkling, soft green color radiating aggregate of Wavellite measuring 5 mm across are associated with minor Quartz on the underside of the specimen. The key aspect to this piece is the fact that there is a full coverage of Wavellite. The luster is certainly better than most I have seen from this locality, and the odd color makes for a really nice touch. Most Wavellites from Siglo XX are either white, cream or beige colored, but green is very hard to find in my experience.
