Item Description

There was a small pocket that produced mostly Tetrahedrite specimens around 2002, and the best of these specimens are some of the finest quality Tetrahedrite specimens that I have seen from Bolivia. This piece features more Pyrite than Tetrahedrite, but it's from the same pocket. This piece hosts sharp, well formed, highly lustrous, metallic, golden color octahedral crystals of Pyrite (with small cubic modifications) measuring up to 5 mm associated with silvery-grey colored Tetrahedrite sitting on Quatz matrix. Upon close inspection, the Tetrahedrites has small crystallized "hillocks" on the faces of the crystals. Overall, the piece is in great condition and displays beautifully. I have not seen another crumb of this material in several years, and this is one of last pieces from this pocket I have left to offer, so if you've ever wanted one, do not let this one slip away.
