Axinite (ex Dr. Miguel Romero Collection)

Item Description

Dozens of sharp, lustrous, translucent, clove purple colored slightly "curved" Axinite-(Fe) crystals intergrown and free of matrix from Baja California, Mexico. The piece is nearly complete all the way around, and it shows some well-crystallized faces with crystals measuring up to 1.2 cm long. Fine quality, aesthetic and a nice reminder of how fine the Axinites from this area are, though they are scarcely seen on the market today.
