Scapolite

Scapolite is not a species, but is often assigned to gems as it is more recognizable to most collectors. The actual species are Meionite and Marialite. Here we have a good GEM quality crystal with attrcative yellow color, and sharp, lustrous faces. It is WATER CLEAR, and glows with color. Unfortunately there is a contact near the termination, but otherwise the piece is in good shape. This Tanzanian material is fairly new to the market, but already seems to be in very short supply in recent years. This is a nice thumbnail and it looks better in person.
