Item Description

A great combination / association specimen from the famous Quiruvilca Mine featuring compact twinned semi "cogwheel"-shaped groups of silvery-grey Bournonite associated with cuboctahedral Galena crystals sitting on striated, lustrous, metallic golden pyritohedral Pyrite. The piece is beautiful to view up close and really has a lot going on. The Bournonites and Galenas are not incredibly large, but the biggest Pyrite measures up to 1.1 cm. It's in great shape overall, and it's really fun to view with a loupe or under the microscope as there are some textbook crystals to be seen. A perfect piece for a sulfide / sulfosalt collector, or perhaps somebody who likes association specimens or just attractive pieces from Peru.
