Item Description

Easily some of the most classic and recognizable Amethyst specimens around are those from this locality. The best of these specimens are exemplary and highly sought by collectors. This piece hosts fine quality, GEM / gemmy, sharp, lustrous rich purple color Amethyst crystal with colorless bases from Piedra Parada. Nearly every crystal is pristine, and the largest one measures up to 2.7 cm long. This is old time material, probably dating back to the mid 1970s. Some of the crystals are literally WATER CLEAR at the terminations! It's amazing to me how rich the purple is in the crystals, as it usually requires much larger Amethyst to produce that classic Siberian purple hue. This particular style from what was referred to back in the day as "Las Vigas" remains as some of the most iconic and beautiful Amethyst in the world. Valued in the inventory at $1,800 and possibly worth more for the quality, size and overall beauty. Classic material, seldom seen on today's market.
