Malachite pseudomorph after Azurite (ex Ludlum Collection)

Item Description

A wonderful specimen consisting of velvety / chatoyant, brilliant emerald green crystallized Malachite which has completely replaced blocky crystals of Azurite on minor matrix. Very good condition overall and really eye-catching. Classic material, not easily found on the market these days. The largest pseudomorph measures 1.6 cm across. No damage that I can see with the naked eye. Valued at $650. From the personal collection of Sandy and Maureen Ludlum of St. Charles, Missouri.
