Silver with Acanthite

The Hongda Mine is perhaps the most famous Silver mine in China, and has produced some of, if not the finest Silver specimens from Asia. Many people are familiar with these great wire Silvers, and this piece is a wonderful miniature with good aesthetics and balance. It features small tight intergrown groups of wires mixed in/on cubic Acanthite and minor matrix to create a very eye-catching and desirable specimen. The Acanthite crystals are rather sharp for the locality. The largest Silver wire measures 7 mm, and the largest Acanthite measures 1.6 cm on edge. Priced at $800 in the inventory.
