Item Description

Some of the world's finest Hematite specimens are found at the Wessels Mine. This wonderful thumbnail features a 2.3 cm scalenohedron with a side car crystal of association white Calcite. The Hematite crystal has very sharp, metallic, highly lustrous faces and the classic steel-black color. The piece is in very good shape, and I would say that the crystal is virtually undamaged, save the bottom where it detached from the matrix.
