Item Description

A really attractive and seldom seen association specimen featuring pseudo-hexagonal groups of bronze colored Pyrrhotite that are dotted by small translucent, rich orange-golden colored Siderite crystals. The piece is in excellent shape on the display side and really has an "antique" kind of feel to it. The piece is from the collection of Kay Robertson (catalog number 7060, and is accompanied by labels from Italian collector Roberto Palumbo, and the Bostard Collection (whose label mentions the piece came from Earl L. Calvert). Kay Robertson is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record)
