Galena (weird "melted" crystal) viewBack to PRE-DENVER MINERAL COLLECTION and INVENTORY LIQUIDATION AUCTION (set 2 of 2) - end September 14th, 2017

Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia
  • Starting Time:9/7/2017 06:45:00 PM(CDT)
  • Ending Time:9/14/2017 06:46:50 PM(CDT)
  • Time Left:Auction Is Closed

  • Size:Thumbnail
  • Size Description:2.5 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm

Description:A strange thumbnail of Galena with a bizarre external appearance. The upper portion of the piece has a strange, smooth, semi-melted appearance, but when you turn it over, you can see actual crystal faces. Additionally, it appears that the Galena may have overgrown or pseudomorphed a preexisting mineral, as there is a small exposed area that it not covered by the Galena. Nonetheless, it's certainly unique, and if you collect sulfides, thumbnails, Dal'negorsk or just unusual specimens, don't miss out on this oddity.
