Item Description

A fine quality and very showy display specimen of pale blue colored blades Anhydrite on minor matrix from the Campiano Mine in Italy. The crystals on this piece are larger and more distinctive than most Anhydrites I've had to offer to from locality. The largest crystal measures 3.3 cm, which is very good sized for the locality in my experience, but it's the fact that you can see clear separation between the crystals and they're not a jumbled mass. From finds in the 1970s, I was tol). The Anhydrites have a fabulous, alluring, pearlescent luster that simply cannot be captured adequately in the photos. If you collect Italian minerals, this is a very worthwhile piece to add to your collection.
