Item Description

Even though green Apophyllites from India are common these days, it's difficult to find specimens from this particular locality. A radial "spray" of green to colorless prismatic crystals of Apophyllite with distinctly basal terminations are sitting atop cream colored bladed Stilbite on minor matrix. The largest Apophyllite measures 2.4 cm long. No damage that I can see with the naked eye. Very showy and worth picking up for the locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#13117). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
