Descloizite on Calcite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A gorgeous and showy, three-dimensional specimen featuring chocolate brown crystals of the lead zinc vanadte, Descloizite on reddish (iron-included) Calcite. The piece has such eye-catching aesthetics with a flowing, tiered formation. This might be the showiest display specimen of this material that I've seen from t Los Lamentos. No damage that I can see with the naked eye. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#410). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
