Item Description

The Jeffrey Mine has produced some of the most distinctive and magnificent quality Garnet crystals extant. These "Cinnamon" Grossulars from Jeffrey are known for their unique orange color, gemminess, top luster and superb "textbook" form. This specimen is features very good sized, fine quality, sharp, lustrous, richh orange color, gemmy, striated dodecahedral / trapezohedral crystals of Grossular which measure up to 1.1 cm on matrix. The piece was priced at $3000 in the inventory, and considering that this material is no longer being found (the Jeffrey Mine is now completely defunct and will not produce these specimens again), the value will continue to increase for these specimens. A wonderful display specimen of these Canadian classics.
