Item Description

Beautiful yellow prismatic groups of Pyromorphite measuring up to 1.0 cm are jutting out of oxidized matrix from the lesser known Neue Hoffnung Mine, in Siegerland, Germany (not to be confused with the Neue Hoffnung Mine in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). The label states that this locality is in Wilgersdorf. Great quality all around and very showy. These are HARD TO FIND on the market, and if you collect secondary ore mineral, worldwide Pyromorphites or German classics, don't miss out on this one. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4663). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
