Celestine (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A very rarely seen example of the beautifully crystallized Celestines from the Blue Bird prospect in central Utah. The piece features incredibly well-formed, very lustrous, gemmy, fine blue color tabular crystals of Celestine on a thin layer of matrix. The crystals are tightly layered / intergrown, but very attractive up close. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9429). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
