Item Description

This is an attractive Copper display specimen from one of the most historic and classic mining districts in the United States. This piece is features a sharp, well-formed, dodecahedral crystal of Copper measuring 1.7 cm across sitting in a vug of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless Calcite scalenohedra on a hefty matrix. The Copper crystal has a beautiful antique style patina and really looks good up close. Light greenish bands of Prehnite can be seen intermixed throughout the specimen. These pieces are becoming more and more difficult to find on the market today, and this is a nice big display specimen of this highly sought after material from Michigan. Valued at $1750.
