Item Description

A beautifully symmetrical, highly arching, very nearly pristine, lustrous pyritized spirifer brachiopod from the Devonian of Sylvania, Ohio. This specimen has excellent bi-lateral symmetry and comes from a quarry west of Toledo. Complete all around with very well-defined striated growth lines. Better than many we've offered in the past. An excellent and highly representative fossil of the species and locale. From the collection of Wouter Van Tichelen (#20050905).
