Fine, sharp, lustrous, metallic, black, well-formed octahedra of Magnetite measuring up to 2 mm sit on host rock matrix from an undisclosed locality in San Benito County. This piece is possibly from the Santa Rita Mine, but it only came labeled as coming from San Benito County. The piece comes from the William Duarte Collection. A good quality piece of this obscure material from California.
