Item Description

A beautiful and classic specimen of white "rosette" of bladed Albite (var: Cleavelandite) from the world famous White Queen Mine in San Diego County. This mine is well known for producing excellent crystallized Morganite specimens, which were collected by Norm Dawson decades ago. This piece actually came from Norm as noted on the label, making it all the more attractive to add to a suite of San Diego County minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2053). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
