Item Description

A rarely seen association specimen from the famous Szklary Chrysoprase Mine featuring sharp, well-formed, compressed, soft golden colored gemmy crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.7 cm associated with sharp, lustrous, well-formed, silvery-grey colored rhombic Magnesite measuring up to 2.0 cm. The display side of the specimen is in excellent condition, though contacted on the back. Very hard to find on the market, and certainly worth picking up if you collect minerals of Europe. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9790). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
