Sphalerite on Pyrite (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A classic combination from Peru featuring sharp, well-formed, black crystals of Sphalerite measuring up to 1.1 cm sitting golden Pyrite matrix. Minor associated Quartz can be seen on the base of the specimen. Good quality all around and very attractive when viewed up close. These are very well-formed Sphalerites and don't get enough credit for their quality due to their abundance on the market.
