Aquamarine

Item Description

A sharp, well-formed, prismatic, hexagonal crystal of soft greenish-blue Aquamarine from the Rossing Mountains Area, in Swakopmund, Namibia. These specimens are very rare from Rossing. The crystal has a bright color, and when it's backlit, it glows. Even though it's not gem quality, it does pass light and the particular hue is not terribly common in Beryl. I can see a couple second order prism faces on the piece, and the termination - while not perfect - shows first and second order pyramidal faces. A very attractive gem crystal specimen that is not often seen on the market for sale.
