Item Description

Beautiful cornflower-blue, gemmy and lustrous, color-zoned fluorite cubes, to 9 mm, are aesthetically clustered on the dramatic, rich plate of needle quartz crystals. The cubes are nicely accented by a cluster of tiny tetrahedrite crystals. This is very fine, early combination material from the famous Sweet Home Mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10354. Another label with the piece is labelled SW118, dating the piece to the early 1990s. Purple fluorescence. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Classic and excellent older combination material from the Sweet Home. Valued at $800-1000.
