Item Description

An aesthetic and sculptural small cabinet combination from this famous mine. Glassy, translucent, modified scalenohedral and rhombic calcite crystals are artistically set on the crest and base of the piece. The body is composed of two colors of translucent fluorite cubes, blush-purple on the bottom and straw-yellow on top. The impressive large calcite at the base is 3.3 cm and the cubes reach 1.1 cm. The cluster of brassy pyritohedrons at the base is a nice accent. The intergrown calcites spill over onto the back, forming a striking corsage-shaped cluster. A fine bonus. Pristine, except for periphery wear on the left side, which is certainly only a modest detraction. Faint purple fluorite fluorescence. Classic, excellent and very showy combination material from the Paul Zerfass Collection # 1786.
