Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, emerald-green brochantite prisms fill a sculptural vug atop the matrix on this aesthetic thumbnail from Arizona. The Sam Nasser and Bruce Murphy Collection labels list the extinct Old Dominion Mine as the locality, but MINDAT does not list the species for that famous mine. The matrix association and crystal form suggest, rather, that the piece is from the well-known Grand View Mine.
