Calcite on Chrysocolla (Tony Potucek & Bruce Murphy Coll.)

Item Description

Large sharp nailhead calcite disks are rare from this old well-known extinct underground Arizona mine. Glassy, pearlescent disks are very aesthetically and richly clustered on the chrysocolla matrix. The impresssive large isolated rhomb is 1.6 cm and the two corsage-like clusters of curved rhombs are very attractive and add pizzazz to this fine and excellent rarity from Tony Potucek and Bruce Murphy Collections. The mine closed in 1957 and this is probably an extremely fine older specimen. The pristine piece has two fine display views.
