Unusual Pyrite xl cluster (rare) ex. B. Phillips Coll.

Item Description

This striking, sculptural and unusual curved piece of intergrown pyrite cubes looks like a stalactite, but it's not! The lustrous bronzy cubes, to 1.8 cm, are attached to an elongated flattened lense of microcrystalline to massive pyrite, which is thought to be possibly former organic matter. One clean break is noted lower in the piece. Certainly a fascinating, artistic pyrite from this uncommon New Mexico locale.
