Item Description

These are the most classic examples of chrysoberyl in the world. This is a great old Brazilian chrysoberyl classic from the famous finds around 1940 by Allan Caplan in Espirito Santo State in southeastern Brazil. It is a very sharp twin trying to become a "sixling" twin with the "leg" at the bottom. This fine glassy thumbnail has a beautiful yellow-green color with a classic twin and good gemminess above the darker "leg". Complete all-around and pristine. The contact/attachment is at the base. An outstanding example of the species and famous find. 42.1 carats of over 8 grams mass. Valued at $1000.
