Item Description

Prehnite and epidote combinations are rare from this less well-known Baja California, Mexico area. A striking intergrown cluster of translucent, pale mint-green, bladed prehnite botryoids, to 9 mm, is aesthetically attached to the undulating matrix of tiny gemmy, olive-green epidote crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 4205 and acquired from Bob Dye in Glendale in 1964. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). RARE and choice combination material from the locale.
