Item Description

Beautiful rich cherry-red, lustrous and translucent rhodochrosite scalenohedrons are festooned on the undulating sulfide matrix. The impressive larger doubly terminated crystals are 1.4 and 1.3 cm. Very rich, showy and classic rhodochrosite from the famous Uchucchacua Mine. They light up, when backlit! These came out in the 1990s to 2000s, with very little since. The interior is pristine on this fine, highly representative example from the W.S. Logan Rhodochrosite Collection.
