Item Description

Classic, colorful and rich combination material from famous Ajo. Bright teal-blue seams of ajoite, a rare complex Cu-silicate, named after the Type Locality are richly scattered in contrasting blue radial sprays of shattuckite needles on both sides and the top of the sculptural miniature matrix. An excellent combination specimen from the Kay Robertson Collection # 5183. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
