Item Description

Around 2011-2014 artisanal miners worked this obscure mine, probably worked in the 1950s and 60s for specimens and came up with some fine pieces. This is a colorful, rich and uncommon large combination. Lustrous, translucent, goldenrod-yellow mimetite variety campylite rounded barrel-like crystals are festooned with rich patches of pretty powder-blue translucent hemimorphite blades on the undulating solid crust of spherical aggregates of fluorescent lavender willemite microcrystals. The back is almost totally willemite. The willemite has striking variable fluorescence, light green under SW and rich yellow under LW UV light. Valued at $950. Excellent and rare two-sided combination material.
