Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous light mint-green datolite crystals cover the basalt matrix on this showy large specimen from this classic Connecticut traprock quarry long studied and collected by American mineralogists. The glassy crystals are dominated by the sharp, blocky 3.2 cm crystal. Excellent material from the Paterson Museum Collection in New Jersey, and probably from the early 1900s. valued $400
