Polished Rhodochrosite stalactite slices

Item Description

Two beautiful slices of a rhodochrosite stalactite from the 1980s finds at this famous mine. The striking banding of the colorful, variable pretty rose-red surrounding the lighter cores of the stalactites is eyecatching and noteworthy. Both faces of the thicker, 5 mm, slice are polished, while the 4 mm slice has only one polished face. These would make excellent lapidary material.
