Item Description

This very fine, rich and colorful large combination plate is from the one-time 2008 find at famed Mina Ojuela. The wulfenite, mimetite and calcite association was unique to this find. Sharp, lustrous and translucent, "sandwich-style" pseudocubic wulfenite crystals, to 1.0 cm, are aesthetically scattered on the matrix strikingly covered with nubby spherical aggregates of juicy apple-green mimetites. The rich sprinkling of pearlescent calcite rhombs and crusts on the lower half of the piece is a super accent to this outstanding large combination. The back has been sawed to enhance the considerable display quality. Definitely one of the finest large combinations we obtained in the lot. Valued at $1250-1500.
