Item Description

Galena and calcite specimens are RARE from this obscure area of Ba-Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag hydrothermal veins in granite (MINDAT). Glassy calcite scalenohedrons are preferentially festooned on the large matrix specimen covered with lustrous, battleship-gray, modified galena octahedrons. The galenas reach 2.8 cm on this impressive and rare two-sided combination piece. Modest pink calcite fluorescence. Ex Sanabria Collection.
