Item Description

This now famous remote mine has produced some excellent scheelite specimens and this is an exceptional example. This is a striking, sharp, distinctively two-sided, doubly terminated, tetragonal pseudo-octahedral crystal. The pristine crystal appears to be a floater, but the attachment was the broken section of the quartz crystal on one face (there's a small fluorite section next to it). It was perched in the vug on a quartz crystal stalk! The highly lustrous, moderately translucent, greenish-gray crystal has a very sharp front accented with dramatic skeletal features. The back is totally different with the dense stepped-growth faces! Interesting crystal chemistry here. Bright ghostly white fluorescence (the fluorite also fluoresces). Fairly valued at $1000-1250 for rare style and high quality.
