Description:I honestly cannot remember seeing many Moonstones that looks like this. Typically, Moonstone gems are slightly "milky" or grey in appearance, but this gem honestly has a "black" color that is very eye-catching. The stone itself has a "Square Cabochon" cut with some small streaks of grey-white throughout. When rotated in the light, one can see the classic iridescent "sheen" on the surface of the stone showing an attractive blue flash. Moonstones have been adored by people for thousands of years (dating back to the Romans), and this is a great stone to add to your collection. Enjoy.
