Description:This is a unique variety of Quartz from the best occurrence in the world. Ametrine is a naturally occurring purple and yellow bi-color variety that is formed by a unique twin law ("Brazil Law Twinning") where two separate individually colored crystals are intergrown to form an alternating "radiation" pattern of purple and yellow triangles when viewed down the c axis. This is how the two colors are oriented to cut the bicolor gemstones, This particular gem is a unique, one-of-a-kind, 55/45 yellow/purple bicolor, nearly eye clean "Emerald" cut gemstone. The fact that it's perfectly calibrated also makes a huge difference as you can easily pop it into a premade setting for jewelry. It has come to my attention that the mine is no longer in production of this material and the market has quickly "dried up".
