Description:Garnets are often seen in cut stones and sometimes in cabochons, but the "4-rayed Star" effect that is seen in this material is not very common. The "Oval Cabochon" cut stone has a very deep reddish-purple color and is somewhat translucent, and honestly, you need to put in under a strong light for the "star" to show up, but it is a unique gem, and you don't see these very often on the market. Valued at $296.80 retail.
