Description:Petalite is a rare mineral, and even more rare in gem quality crystals. Typically Petalite is colorless, but these relatively new gems out of Burma have a slight champagne hue. There are only a few world localities for Petalite gems, and they rarely exceed 10 carats. This stone is a beautiful champagne color, "Checkerboard Round" cut stone with very slight inclusions. It would make a nice addition to a rare stone suite, or a Petalite gem suite. I have seen these gems retailing for up to $100 per carat from some vendors, so don't miss out on snagging this gem for a great price.
