Description:Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This "Oval Cabochon" cut gem is good size for the material, and has a few "wispy" inclusions, which is better than most I have seen when it comes to these stones from Mali. This material has such a unique appearance that when you find a clean stone, it's a real treat. This is a very good size stone and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.
