Description:One of the most exceptional things I have seen from the United States is Sunstone from Oregon. This material comes in a myriad of colors ranging from yellow, orange, red, green and even blue in rare cases. Aside from the the extremely rare blue variety, the most hard to find color of this material in good size stones is red. This stone has a beautiful champagne hue with slight peach and blue-green hues around the edges. The gem has a "Concave Checkerboard Cushion" cut. Typically, many of the stones from this area have what is called a "shiller" which is a shimmer in the stone, and this gem shows a decent amount of shiller when rotated in the light. Don't miss ouf on this great, colorful U.S. gemstone.
