Description:Quartz is the most mineral-inclusion friendly gem out there. Brazil has probably produced more Quartz gems included with other minerals than any other gem producing country. This "Oval Cabochon" cut stone is essentially colorless, but the most interesting aspect of the stone is the fact that it has these little inclusion of metallic silver and blood red Hematite, some of which are single slender "discs" and others are more like "needles". I have photographed some of the niclusiosn under the microscope, and most of them are well under 1 mm, but they are very interesting and attractive to view under high magnification. A lovely inculsion gem from one of the most prolific gem producing countries in the world.
