Description:Rose Quartz is the pink variety of Quartz and recent research indicates that the color of the material may be due to microscopic inclusions of a fibrous mineral, such as Dumortierite or a related species. These gems are beloved for their unique pink color which ranges from a soft pink to a rather rich vivid pink from some localities. Rose Quartz stones are often used in cabochons as the material is rarely clean enough for faceted gems, because the majority of it is "milky" or "cloudy". This particular stone is a lovely gem and has decent clarity for a Rose Quartz. It is an attractive, slightly "milky", light pink color gem with a "Shallow Checkerboard Oval" cut. A great colorful gem for any collector.
