Description:Spinel is another gem that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, but a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. It is an attractive, nearly eye clean, rich purple color, "Pear" cut gemstone. The stone is very attractive for a purple Spinel, and is not a "grey" shade. Due to the political upheaval in southeast, it appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Spinels may be dwindling.
